Wheelchair Friendly

From overnight accommodations and showering facilities to getting around easily so as to be a part of indoor and outdoor activities, they offered their advice and experiences happily. They also told us of many negative experiences they’ve had in other places that claimed to be wheelchair accommodating but were sorely disappointing. We were so happy when they told us that our place is so much more than just ADA compliant; it’s actually enjoyable!

We appreciate and value their input very much. We feel that GOD has used them to help us so we can help others! Thank You GOD!

Our desire is to continue to make more outside areas of our property, such as hiking trails in the woods and paths to the creek along with walkways to the 1884 Whippoorwill Ridge Log Chapel in the woods accessible for all abilities. We want to offer all terrain wheelchairs for free to those who can use them and truly enjoy the experience safely and without assistance in the big outdoors. 

 We are working diligently towards this goal.  We want ALL to have the opportunity to connect with the Creator through His creations in the midst of His creations and not just from the sidelines looking in.

We Offer:

• Zero Entry into the Huge Modern Farmhouse with concrete floors.
• Clearances:  4-foot-wide hallways, 3.0 doorways, 
• 6’6” x 6’6” roll in shower room. 
• Located on the main level we built a beautiful, inviting and accessible bedroom suite for those with mobility issues/needs in mind.  However, all guests feel comfortable in this suite.  The spacious layout provides ample room for easy movement & convenient bed transfers.  The two twin beds are positioned at an accessible height with ample space for the mobility guest and the care provider as well. Light switches, outlets and storage are placed within reach to enhance ease of use. Great lighting too.
• Under bed clearance of 7.5“for patient transfer lift assistance usage such as a Hoyer Lift.   6” bed risers also available if needed.
• The adjoining bathroom is thoughtfully equipped with accessibility features, including a roll-in shower, a comfort height toilet, accessibility sink and many support rails.
• Outside concrete walkways make an easy & safe access to pavilions, patios and firepit area so everyone can enjoy the beautiful outdoor areas we offer our guests.
• Easy on easy off toilets with grab bars in spacious bathrooms.
• Oversized roll-in wheelchair-friendly shower.  Six ft by six ft and features a built-in shower chair with arm rests, two shower heads and a hand-held shower head with multiple grab rails on all the walls.
